How the calculators work
Every calculator on this site runs in your browser and reads from the same verified data files as the rest of the site: the 2026 federal, provincial and territorial brackets and credits, the TFSA annual limits since 2009, and the RRSP and FHSA limits and rules. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Each calculator page has a "Show the math" view with the formula and a list of what the estimate leaves out.
| Calculator | What you enter | What it works out |
|---|---|---|
| TFSA room | Birth year, lifetime contributions, withdrawals before this year | Room you can use today without the 1% monthly penalty |
| RRSP refund | Province, taxable or employment income, deduction | Tax before and after the deduction, from two full tax calculations |
| RRSP vs TFSA | Contribution, marginal rate now and at withdrawal | Which account leaves more after tax, and by how much |
| FHSA eligibility | Age, residency, home-ownership history, carry-forward | Whether you can open an FHSA, your room and when the account must close |
| All three accounts | One contribution and a marginal rate | The deduction and withdrawal treatment in each account side by side |
For the figures behind the calculators, see TFSA room by birth year, RRSP savings by province and the 2026 tax brackets. The estimates are for one person and cannot see the rest of your return, so your Notice of Assessment and CRA My Account remain the official record.
